Study English at James Cook University (JCU)
English language programs at JCU are available in Townsville & Cairns and can be your pathway to University or TAFE study. Studying English at JCU may open up new opportunities.
JCU’s English for Academic Purposes program is a pathway to JCU undergraduate or postgraduate degrees. Studying EAP will develop skills required for your university course. You will also improve your reading, writing, speaking & listening skills, be equipped to present information, express feelings, exchange opinions & make observations in English. You will also improve your research skills. JCU’s EAP program is taught by professional English language teachers in small classes, meaning you will have full support during your studies.
JCU also offers General English courses which are intensive courses, with 25 contact hours per week (full-time) or depending on your visa, you may elect to study part-time.
